My windows 10 is not booting to desktop free download. PC Not booting up to Windows

Ask a new question. I had a regedit change that allowed windows to install things automatically on my HDD by changing the path of x86 and Program Files folders to 2 folders created on my HDD. This helps saving SSD space. It's useful since a lot of programs don't show a installation folder option e. To make Windows install updates I always had to change the path back to its original state which directs the system to use the x86 and Program Filea folders on C: drive.

The update was installed flawlessly with a few Program icons missing from desktop probably because they were installed on the HDD folders What I get now is the Motherboard's logo part where I can access my BIOS and then after that the Windows 10 logo comes up, then it goes away leaving only that looping balls, then those balls go away and I'm left with my screen turning a bit brighter and then a bit darker again.

I will leave it turned on overnight Sometimes after turning off my PC directly by holding the power button, I would get my Windows to show the recovery menu where there are a lot of options, the only issue is that every option I click requires me to insert my users password even though I never set any password since I got this PC. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help.

Thanks for your feedback. Hello Greg, sorry for not replying sooner, I was doing the testing you suggested for me. I created a bootable USB drive and it worked, I could access the Troubleshooting menu through it, sadly I couldn't do much with the options "recover this pc", "uninstall updates" and so on Since they weren't able to complete the process due to an unknown issue The only option that did something was the Command Prompt and I tried to use it to edit the registry on my C: drive.

That's when I started to think there's no hope other than a Clean Install. The issue is that although I specified the machine name it couldn't find the key. I will do a clean install in a few days, this led me to an anger of running out of space and having to do these sketchy things so I'm buying a 2TB SSD soon and then doing a clean Install Thank you so much for the fast help provided, it really would be useful if the problem wasn't this deep.

I'm pretty sure it will help other people. I must say that your trick to recover files from my did work! I managed to trasnfer important files to the bootable USB. There wasn't any other option than doing a clean install. Thank you very much for the care of recommending me a SSD indeed, although i had already chosen one, noticing the care that you put into it of looking forward for a SSD to recommend to me is really cool!

So i think it's over, sorry for the delay in the reply time I just didn't have a lot i could do in the meantime. The lesson that stays is something around the lines of "Don't mess around with regedit, specially when updating Windows". Once again, thank you very much! Microsoft Image Mastering API v2 must be installed. Before you run the Download Tool, make sure you have purchased the Windows ISO download from Microsoft Store and downloaded the Windows ISO file to your drive. If you have purchased Windows but have not yet downloaded the ISO file, you can download the ISO file from your Microsoft Store Account.

In the SOURCE FILE box, type the name and path of your Windows ISO file, or click BROWSE and select the file from the OPEN dialog box. Click NEXT. Select USB DEVICE to create a copy on a USB flash drive or select DVD disk to create a copy on a DVD disk. If you are copying the file to a USB flash drive, select your USB device in the drop-down list and click BEGIN COPYING. If you are copying the file up to a DVD, click BEGIN BURNING.

When your Windows ISO file is copied to your drive, install Windows by moving to the root folder of your DVD or USB drive, and then double-click Setup. NET framework can be downloaded here. The Image Mastering API can be downloaded here. Can I use my newly created USB drive to install Windows on someone else's computer? This tool requires the USB drive to be completely blank before the Windows files are copied. This helps ensure that the device is bootable after the copying has completed.

Can I backup to an external hard drive or other device with enough free disk space? Yes, but this is not recommended. The device must be formatted in order for the device to be bootable. A dedicated USB flash drive would be a better option. This tool is only for use with the Windows ISO file purchased from Microsoft Store.

The tool is asking me to install the. NET framework and Image Mastering API before I install the tool. You can download. NET framework here and you can download the Image Mastering API here. A restart may be required after installing the. NET framework and the Image Mastering API. To make the USB drive bootable, you need to run a tool named bootsect. In some cases, this tool needs to be downloaded from your Microsoft Store account.

This may happen if you're trying to create a bit bootable USB device from a bit version of Windows. To download bootsect:. Right-click the link, and then save the bootsect. If you don't see your USB drive in the list of available devices, please make sure the drive is inserted in the USB port, and then click the Refresh button beside the list of available drives.

If there are multiple drives on the system, the tool will select the first one that is capable of burning DVDs. If you have multiple DVD-R drives, try inserting the blank DVD into another DVD-R drive. If that doesn't help, please make sure that your disc isn't damaged and that your DVD-R drive is operational. Contact Product Support if issues continue to arise. Make sure the disc isn't a dual-layer DVD disc. Currently, dual-layer discs are not supported within the tool. Warning: This site requires the use of scripts, which your browser does not currently allow.

See how to enable scripts. Making copies To install the software, you can make one copy of the ISO file on a disc, USB flash drive, or other media.

Click Download then Run.
